Towelrads straight thermostatic radiator valve and lockshield function work like a tap and allow the amount of water that enters the radiator to be adjusted by turning the top of the valve. This joins the radiator to the central heating pipework in a straight horizontal line, whereas the pipework comes from the floor. Lockshield valves regulate the amount of water flowing out of the radiators into the return pipes, which helps to ensure water is evenly distributed across all the radiators in the property and provides an even heat.
